ESAP will dedicate their May 3, 2017 meeting to prevention, the strategic prevention framework and will highlight National Prevention Week, May 14th – 20th. The National Prevention Week 2017 theme is “Making Each Day Count.” This theme highlights the important role that individuals and communities alike have in helping people lead healthy, productive lives and in raising awareness about the importance of substance use prevention and promotion of positive mental health.
ESAP’s coalition meetings are open to the public. Parents, professionals, and community members are encouraged to attend. Prevention is a small puzzle piece in the grand scope of the inner workings of agencies and communities. Also, a part that is often forgotten. Bring your passion and ideas about prevention to share with us.
